Experimental Projects
Capitol Radio Club EA7RKL (Spain)
This TG Project aims to create a network of DMR radios operating in DMO mode and interconnected with each other, using the internet as a "virtual radio link" between all the nodes* that comprise it.
The intention is that operators wishing to access this network will be required to do so only by establishing contact with one of the active (open access) nodes, using nothing more than their radiotelephones (see diagram).
* A node for this network would consist of:
- A DMR radio operating with OpenGD77, with the TYT MD-9600 model being the most recommended.
- A Raspberry Pi computer or similar running Pi-Star or WPSD software.
- Low-latency internet access and connection to the TGIF network.
WARNIG
We will not use:
- Interconnections or bridges between platforms or between systems that mix protocols.
- Access via mobile phones or personal hotspots installed in the QTH lounge.
