Talkgroup Description

the info below is already posted in the wiki. This talk group was established in Jan 2019. So I am just wanting it to be approved on the Prime server. Thanks! Welcome to The Oregon Trail, TGIF talk Group 2170. The Oregon Trail was a 2,170 (hence the talk group number) mile, large-wheeled wagon route from Independence, Missouri to Oregon City, Oregon in the early to mid 1800s. Approximately 400,000 emigrants and settlers traveled along its length. The Oregon Trail was instrumental in connecting the US mid-west to the US Pacific northwest. Like the Oregon Trail in its day, The Oregon Trail talk group can be used to connect amateur radio operators from not only Missouri to Oregon, but from all corners of the world. We welcome all hams to use this talk group, while conducting ourselves in accordance with the traditional values of our radio service. Just remember the Golden Rule (no, not the one that says "He who has the gold, makes the rules"), but the other one. Let's keep things fun on this talk group. Thank you for reading and participating. Feel free to email me at my QRZ address with any questions and/or suggestions. 73, George, NJ3H Redmond, Oregon USA
