This is a talkgroup for Illinois Search and Rescue team members, especially those who are members of the Illinois Search and Rescue Council. The talkgroup can be used for general communications, however, during an active search, at the request of the incident commander or communications officer, the talkgroup can be cleared for active search operations, especially for responding units and in-field use for ground SAR ops. The talkgroup is being established by the Mercer County Sheriff's Search and Rescue communications unit. The 727 talkgroup equates to SAR on a TouchTone keypad.
