Talkgroup Description

The American Legion has formed a special entity to provide a forum for military veterans who today are engaged in a hobby that can also provide emergency communications "when all else fails." During the May 2011 Spring Meetings, the National Executive Committee authorized the establishment of The American Legion Amateur Radio Club (TALARC). You don't have to be a member of the American Legion to use this talk group.  Hopefully we will get some formal nets going and start up where the YSF and Quadnet left us.  Some great nets were had on the Quadnet.   The American Legion no longer manages the radio club at the National Level so it is up to us to continue it hopefully we can get National to manage it again.
